The Day Another Chapter Was Ended

Today marks the official closure of a chapter in my career as a teacher. It's a tough decision, yet I must move to a new chapter.

Vichitrapittaya School will always be my first home here in Thailand. This place gives me the initiation of Thai culture. It will never change the fact that once in my life, I felt that I'd been a native of Ubon Ratchatani.

I remember the first time that I stepped on my feet in Ubon Ratchatani, I was escorted by Ajarn Kanika and Ajarn Nantiya on the way to Vichitrapittaya School. It is funny that I agree to sign the contract without knowing the name of the school 555. I would like to express my sincere appreciation to these two wonderful people who helped me throughout my stay in Ubon Ratchatani.

Teaching in a foreign country with students used to speak in their native tongue is very difficult, but thanks to my wonderful practice teachers; teacher Ing, Mind, Pam, New, and Pae who acted not just as a translator but as actual colleagues of mine.

Living without my chit-chat buddy, neighbor, and closest friend Hanako will definitely make my after-school life boring. So thank you for listening always.

To my silent housemate, Koi Do San. Thank you for being the best housemate. I am an introvert and thank you for respecting my personal space and being very quiet. I appreciated it a lot.

To my wonderful students. From M3 to M6, thank you for making me a part of your life. I am not a perfect English language teacher but I hope you learned something from me. You will always be my first set of Thai students, and I will forever treasure each of you. I will always be proud of you in any endeavor you will take.

To the people who might get hurt or offended by my words or actions, I'm sorry. I am tactless and straightforward. Most of the time I vocalize what's on my mind. I'm sorry if you somehow misinterpreted these actions.

Once again, thank you very much, and see you around!
